Not gonna lie, we all love free stuff, especially when it comes to our classrooms. Teachers should not have to spend our hard-earned money on supplies and resources, but unfortunately it’s often needed in order to fill our classrooms and support our students. So here’s a few ways to save a buck when it comes to classroom resources:
1. SEARCH FOR FREEBIES:
Every single store on TPT has at least one free item (it's required) and many stores have added even more. Find them by sorting by price on the TPT search menu.
Here are a few freebies you can download from The Adventurous Classroom:
You can find all these and more in The Adventurous Classroom store.
2. LEAVE FEEDBACK:
Reviewing your previous purchases earns you credits to use on future purchases. Quality feedback (not "thanks") also helps sellers grow and improve resources. If you can spare a few minutes and share how you used a resource and how it benefitted your students, you can majorly make the creator’s day!
You can do this by going to the "My Purchases" page on TPT and then clicking "Leave a Review."
3. START A CLASS FUND:
Create a page for others to contribute to your classroom. There have been times when TPT has matched contributions, too! You can share this with loved ones when they ask how they can support you. You can also share the link on social media. Learn more here.
4. ASK YOUR ADMIN ABOUT SCHOOL ACCESS:
Talk to your administration about joining TPT School Access, so school funds can be used for the resources you need. Administrators have budgets for supplies and resources. Why not ask for a portion to go towards things that will directly support you and your students?
5. FOLLOW YOUR FAVORITE TEACHER-AUTHORS ON INSTAGRAM:
Many host TPT gift card giveaways and you could be the lucky winner! You'll also be the first to know about sales and new resources. Follow @theadventurousclassroom here.
