Like many of you, every year I have tons of unknowns about how I'll teach psychology the coming year: curiosities about what my students are going to be interested in, endless plans for exciting activities, half-baked ideas about over-the-top experiments, and creative intentions for full classroom make-overs!

And with more and more new activities each year and way more ideas than could possibly fit in a school year being shared in teacher communities, the possibilities can quickly lead to overwhelm.

Being pulled in a million and one directions means I can't get anything accomplished, I might halfway complete things multiple times after losing track of the first attempt, and my students will not benefit from all my good intentions.

So I took the time to prioritize what's really important this year and I wrote down what worked. I organized these tasks into an order that was effective and time saving and created a 14-email series called "The Psychology Teacher Challenge" that you can follow to do it too!

What is the 14-Day Psychology Teacher Challenge?

The Psychology Teacher Challenge is a 14-day email series with the goal of getting your entire school year organized. Each day, you will be emailed a task to complete that is designed to help you develop essential skills, acquire knowledge, and explore various psychological concepts in a fun and adventurous way. Get ready to embark on a journey that will prepare you for a successful school year ahead!

Each of the 14 tasks will be focused on organizing and managing your content, curriculum, and procedures to benefit both you and your students throughout your year- or semester-long psychology class.

How does the Psychology Teacher Challenge work?

After signing up, you'll receive a welcome email. Then the series of tasks will be sent straight to your inbox over the course of 2 weeks -- one each day. Depending on your familiarity with teaching psychology and your availability of time to dedicate, tasks will take approximately 10 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
